ABOUT THE ARTWORK:
This editioned sculpture is one of Maurizio Cattelan’s most discussed sculptures. With the larger version standing in Milan’s Piazza Affari in front of the Italian stock exchange building, the work features a gesture with a certain sarcastic stance.
Produced in cement, two versions of this work were issued: the white versions were produced in an unnumbered edition of 200, and the raw cement version was produced in an unnumbered edition of 1,800.
The images shown are of one example of the sculpture edition - note however that each sculpture is hand-crafted and may therefore have some variation in colour or detailing. Slight imperfections are not to be considered defects, but in fact add to the sculpture's value and unique character.
