ABOUT THE WORK:

The images depict the colour of light Sugimoto observed through a prism in his Tokyo studio. Using Polaroid film, he recorded sections of the rainbow spectrum projected into a darkened chamber, paying particular attention to the spaces and gaps between hues. The resulting works are vivid, near-sculptural renderings of pure light.

We aim to ship all orders within 5 working days. Transit times differ depending on where you are based but we usually see all artworks delivered on the next working day if you are in the U.K. and within 5 days of being shipped if you are outside the U.K. If there are any delays in shipping or if an artwork requires professional packing, including crating, or is sold from our consignor network, we will get in contact with you as soon as possible after you have placed an order and let you know the estimated timings for delivery. Our last day of shipping will be Monday 21st December so please order by 17th December if you would like your work shipped out on this date. Please note that our office will be closed from Thursday 24th December to 1st January (inclusive) for the festive period, with shipping resuming on the week commencing 4th January.
