ABOUT THE WORK:

Chris Levine is a UK-based artist best known for one of the most iconic images of the twenty-first century, a portrait of Her majesty Queen Elizabeth II titled “Lightness of Being”. As a light artist, Levine works across many mediums while examining state of perception and awareness through image and form. The artist visualizes light as an aspect of human experience on the spiritual, meditative and philosophical edges that permeate his work. Here, Levine “Marks The Spot” using a mixed media technique while contrasting light and colour within one form.
