A MESSAGE FROM THE LOUGHER CONTEMPORARY TEAM
LOUGHER CONTEMPORARY AND BREXIT.
BREXIT: WHAT ARE WE DOING?
The UK left the EU on 1st January 2021 and we have done everything we can to ensure that we are set up to continue our goal of providing excellent service to our clients and to deliver works as quickly as possible.
As exporters of artworks, for us Brexit means that all shipments from the UK to the EU will require customs documentation which we will prepare with each order for you however if any duty or VAT is payable it is the responsibility of the buyer. As a company that ships globally, we are already registered and are fully versed in customs documentation and regulation for international transit, meaning that we are set up and ready to ship in this manner to EU countries.
It is widely anticipated that from the 1st January there are likely to be delays from the point of shipping through to the arrival of your order as items are processed through customs for both EU and global shipments. However, as we strive for excellent customer service, we will monitor all shipments throughout their transit and ensure they are delivered safely to you. Delays will become minimal as the transition period settles and as we gauge more accurate transit times for countries, we will add them to this page and inform our clients as applicable.
We continue to work closely with our logistics partners to keep informed of new or updated regulations and we work hard to deliver excellent customer service which is our mission in all of our actions. We ask that you continue to place your trust in us during this uncertain time for which our promise to you is that you will receive an unrivalled client service.
Please note that the information in this page is subject to change but we will update it frequently as the situation evolves.

PLACING AN ORDER?
We continue to fulfil every order that is placed through our website. If this changes, we will update this page accordingly.
For all artworks packed in-house, we will continue to use DHL, who have advised us that they are operating as normal. You should expect a 2-3 day lead time from placing an order and collection from us, unless specialised packing is required.
For artworks where we outsource packing (typically framed or over-sized works), our UK-based logistics partners Pack and Send and Flight Logistics are also operating as normal at the time of writing.
Feel free to drop us a line if you’d like to confirm the estimated date of delivery prior to ordering.
If you place your trust in us during these uncertain times, we will do everything we can to get the artwork(s) to you as soon as possible. If we face any challenge in meeting this commitment, we will of course be in contact with you straight away and advise on an estimated dispatch date and transit time. If you would prefer that we hold the artwork for you in the short or medium time, we are also able to do this free of charge.
